Day 5/31 of Self Love

Read this post for an explanation!

My Definition of Self Love - Learning not to hate yourself; being okay with past mistakes, but not repeating them; refusing to use current failures as fuel for self-hate and instead using them as opportunities to improve; and reminding yourself, "You are loved, you are valuable, and you are God's child."

Maybe this is too general of an answer, but I really need to start saying "yes" to taking better care of myself.
  • Taking my medication(s) on time
  • Getting more sleep
  • Realizing when I've had too much "people time" and spending time alone
  • Realizing when I've had too much time alone and spending time with people (#ambivertproblems)
  • Drinking water
  • Eating regularly (sometimes I forget to eat or I'm too emotional to eat) and choosing healthier options (meaning that chips, crackers, etc. are not unfortunately not dinner)
  • This is rather ironic, but learning to say "no" - making sure that I take time for myself and my husband instead of over-committing and becoming overwhelmed + frustrated
That's a rather lengthy list, so I'm planning to tackle these goals one at a time. I worked on all of these goals at one point or another in 2018, but not consistently - therefore, they didn't become habits and remained general things that I wanted to work on "someday." My plan for 2019 is to choose small goals to focus on for each month, so I can actually accomplish them instead of feeling overwhelmed and giving up.

J's Thoughts:

I didn't want to write this, because it's cliché, but...say "yes" to Jesus! :)
