Day 3/31 of Self Love

Read this post for an explanation!

My Definition of Self Love - Learning not to hate yourself; being okay with past mistakes, but not repeating them; refusing to use current failures as fuel for self-hate and instead using them as opportunities to improve; and reminding yourself, "You are loved, you are valuable, and you are God's child."

This one's easy! I want to be purposeful in reading my Bible regularly, and J has agreed to help keep me accountable.
When it comes to mental health issues, I tend to view them as mostly physical problems, though I do think some mental health issues do have spiritual causes - it depends on the person and their walk with God, and I can't know that. However, for a Christian, everything is a spiritual issue - there should be no separation between the sacred and the secular. That means that even if my anxiety, depression, and OCD are purely physical ailments, I still should not neglect my walk with God in my journey to healing. I think that cognitive behavioral therapy saved my life - but everything I learned in therapy cannot replace having a relationship with God and learning and growing in Him.
